After close to a year of using this product I still find it frustrating and inferior to past versions. For the most part I don't like the menu structures.

I had difficulty finding the Product Code. I contacted Microsoft and was told it should have been on the email confirming my purchase. I contacted Amazon and they had no idea what I was talking about but sent me a replacement. In the mean time I found the code on the back of the plastic case that pulled out.

I do wish that I'd read the many one-star reviews of Office 2007 before I wasted my money and time on it. It is truly one of the most monumental failures in the history of computer software. You should understand, before purchasing this debacle, that Office 2007 has removed all the basic pull-down menus from the top of the screen and replaced them with a few random menu items, none of which have any bearing on what you're trying to accomplish. For example, if you want to save your document with a new name, you'll discover that the "File" menu is gone--and you'll be unable to find the "Save-As" command anywhere. That's because Microsoft removed that command from its menu tree! And I am just giving one small example from an abundance of infuriating frustrations which I've been enduring since installing this wretched bundle of rubbish called Office 2007. They also changed all the keyboard shortcuts--even though they actually state in their literature that they haven't. That "Save-As" command used to be accomplished with CONTROL-SHIFT-S, but now that key-combination brings up some useless style menu. And that useless style menu was once fully available--in a useful format--from a pull-down menu at the top of the screen. If you want to re-assign the keyboard shortcuts to what they were under Word 2000, you'll find that nearly impossible as well. I knew I had made a mistake even before installing this garbage onto my computer, when I couldn't figure out how to open the box it came in! I actually had to find a video on line showing me how to get the box open--a problem that is fairly common, evidently, since a simple Google search gave me many websites offering guidance on the mysterious box. My final solution to this mess has been to uninstall Office 2007 and re-install Office 2000. Do yourself a favor and save money, time, and aggravation by not purchasing this product.
