I'm surprised by the number of people saying that doing a clean install is akin to pulling teeth.Yes it takes longer, yes you have to re-install software and get those settings right; so what? You get rid of all the crapware and other trash that sits within those blessed applications. Talk about lazy...are you also the same folks who complain about system crashes? Finally, one other thing to consider: if you do the upgrade, and for some reason have to re-install, you'll need that working copy of XP or Vista in order to do the upgrade....Now where was that old CD laying around/ A clean install means you can re-install as need be, old versions of XP or Vista handy or not. Mmm.
